mtb mayhem (ahem)
A standard trot from Peat Cott turned into something a bit more exciting towards the end. First up to Hart Tor and an opportunity for Whitefang of Dartmoor to do a bit of posing.
Then down to the aquaduct, up Raddick Hill, Crazywell Pool and down to the track which leads back to Peat Cott. Passed a mountainbikist on the first steepish section (exchange of banter) and stopped at the top to get a photo.
Just about put my camera away as he passed with some comment about 'Tortoise and Hare' This was red rag to a bull and I replied with 'No worries, I'll catch you up later' Having thrown down the gauntlet I worked hard to make sure he didn't get too much of a lead on me over the next flattish section so that I had a chance of taking him out on the steep knobbly bit leading up to the car park at Peat Cott. Luckily I passed him about two-thirds of the way up. Competitive? Me?
