Everything's Gone Green
well, sort of fluro-yellow/snot green, anyway.......
Time to break in a new pair of Swoops with a round-about Cranmere Pool run. Parking at Row Tor, Spook the wonder dog led the way up the ring road to OP15, on to Ockerton Court then the gloriously clarty bogfest to the Pool which had been specially prepared by last night's rain. Signing the visitors' book I couldn't help but notice a bunch of ramblers had rocked up on the 2nd of Jan and laid claim to be the first of the year. The cheek of it.
Back through the grade 1 tussockfest (donning beanie and gloves due to a snipey breeze) we hit the ring road again and turned off down Sammy Arnold's Lane to the junction with the Dinger Tor track. From here we made a bee-line to High-ish Willhays and opened it up a bit on the track to Yes Tor before the swoopy roller-coaster down to West Mil Tor, Row Tor and back to the car.

Everything's gone green - even the shoes!! Sounds a cracking blast.
ReplyDeleteWas good to be out. Reckon the Swoops will be a bit less loud in a week.
ReplyDeleteShoes? What's all that about?
ReplyDelete:-)
Ha! it'll have to warm up a bit before I'll be going bf again! Hopefully April/May but I've got a hankering to bf in the snow. Then the pills kick in........
ReplyDeleteshould've put post clart fest shot of the luminous jobs too - new year, new shoes, new order - sweeeeeet = )
ReplyDeleteThey held off the clarts quite well all the way round. Much improved after today's moist mince but I didn't hang around for a photoshoot due to the aerobics going on in the car parked next to mine!
ReplyDeleteOne of New Order's best, I reckon
Flouro
ReplyDeleteVery on trend :)
does his four-legged lordship get owt new that's glowy too?
ReplyDeleteHe got a reflective flashing collar for night runs. Not sure if a flashing red light would spark a rescue though......!
ReplyDeleteRunning bling for that va va voom effect. Be a shame to get them dirty ;)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen those shoes here in SA. Probably not available here.
ReplyDeleteThey've mellowed a bit after the last few runs. Just snot green now. With peaty highlights.
