I Can See For Miles

A stunningly crisp Sunday morning was a no-brainer for a run. It's getting busy on a weekend with navigation courses and Ten Tors training on the way, so it was make hay while the sun shines.
Parking at High Down we blasted up the track between Brat and Arms Tors, cooled by a variable easterly and crunching over the frosty ground. As the track flattens opposite the Dunna Goats we carved down to the Rattlebrook, crossing at the Tavy confluence.

Following the Tavy we crossed the Amicombe just upstream from Sandy Ford and blasted up Fur Tor

On the way back we stopped off at Tiger Marsh to ping the site of the B17 crash for up-coming nav courses. A quick sprint later and we were splashing through the Lyd and back to the car.
About 2.5 hours.

  5. Was a cracker - literally. The boggy bits were frozen solid but they'd forgotten to warm the river up in preparation for my crossing.

  7. See what you mean! I call it a sprint when Spook has to break into a trot to keep up!
