back to barefoot


Another cracking run this afternoon and the second totally barefoot. Took the mincing slippers just in case - I can see me leaving them at home before too long though. Felt nice to have the mud squishing between my toes and the pleasing harshness of the moorgrass. Weird.
Set off from High Down, up to Brat Tor and on to Great Links Tor returning by the same route. Amazing how quick you learn that it's not only where you plant your feet, but how you do it that's important.

    Obviously warmer down there its not just me being a wimp :o)

  6. Give it a go, Matt - go easy at first. I found my calves got a real hammering but Ok if I stretched them after. A few runs in my feet are starting to toughen up and get a pleasant tingling for hours after. I worry about myself sometimes..............

  7. STRETCHING?!?!?!?!?!?! Did you say stretching??Ah to be able to run, haven't minced for couple of weeks - did my back in pushing VW van! the delicious taste of ibuprofen....
