In a fit of something or other I got an entry in for next year's ultra. I've done a few in the past and quite enjoyed the total focus of preparation, etc. that goes along with it. Got plenty of time to ramp up the mileage and hope that my barefoot running has instilled some kind of efficient technique. If not, it soon will. So in amongst barefoot silliness I'll be boring you all with tales of terror from the weekend long runs.
Suddenly, the end of July doesn't seem that far off....................
will you be running it barefoot then 4w ;-)
ReplyDeleteyou wont regret it..its a top top event

ReplyDeleteThats very organised of you.
ReplyDeleteany excuse to get out on tour ;-)
ReplyDeleteI would love to do this. Will be quite an achievement. We are considering the Long Mynd Hike, which is a little closer to home, but also 50 miles.
ReplyDeleteDo what I did. Sign up first and consider it second :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a very sound approach, and pretty much how Lightning and I have approached the races we've done this year!
ReplyDeleteyou know it makes sense..........
ReplyDeleteGood luck, enjoy the training!
ReplyDeleteCheers Lucy. Any excuse to get out on the moors! Luckily a mate is training for the Dartmoor ultra which makes the long runs go quicker.
