The Wait

With the foot mended, not having run a step since the end of July and Spook making it abundantly clear that walks will simply not do, it was high time to go for a run.
I reckoned I could go one of two ways:

Plan 1 Softly, softly catchee monkey, or
Plan 2 Give it a shake and see what falls off

No prizes for guessing......

We set off from High Down on a blustery Monday and headed up to Kitty Tor. From there it was over to Hunt and Gren Tors before a blast up the rattlebrook Peat Track and cutting over to Great Links Tor. A swoopy downhill to Arms Tor followed before cutting across to Brat Tor and opening it up a bit on the descent to the Lyd. We avoided the squalls which brushed over to the north and were just clipped by the edge of a cheeky one on the run-in to the car park.

About 2 hours altogether and feeling chuffed that nothing hurts (yet!) and my fitness doesn't seem to have suffered much.

Good to be out there again.

Turn it up.
