Nancy Boy(s)

A light dusting of snow in Devon meant traffic chaos, closed schools and no walkers on Dartmoor.
Setting off into the barren, hostile wilderness we parked up at Pork Hill, and up to Roos Tor.

From there we trotted over to Langstone Moor stone circle.

Although a long way from being cold the snow hadn't turned slushy and hopes were high for a bit of something interesting up on Great Mis Tor. We slalomed down to the Walkham, splashed through and tacked through the murk to the tor.

Unsurprisingly we were the first set of foot/pawprints up there and the unspoiled snow had sculpted itself into ridges and curves. Very pretty.

Returning to the Walkham for another splash through we padded up to Roos Tor before Great Staple, Little Staple and back to the car.

The couple of comprehensively equipped walkers in the car park who were busy kitting up when I left were busy kitting down when I got back. They hadn't gone far. This one's for you, lads.....

Fingers crossed for more of the white stuff next week.
